Ultrasonic
Nozzle Technology
Aurizon's ultrasonic nozzle technology is unique in its ability to deliver significant
power at the point in a process where it achieves the greatest impact — on
the liquid exiting the orifice. It utilizes a patented mounting system and chamber
design that has the ability to improve the throughput of viscous liquids, induce
atomization of liquids exiting a nozzle, or improve the atomization of liquids at
relatively low pressures.
Due to the unique design of Aurizon's ultrasonic nozzle system, the nozzles are
self-cleaning and minimize or eliminate the potential for tip clogging which can
be common with high-viscosity, high-solids, and/or contaminated liquids.
Possible market applications for Aurizon's ultrasonic nozzle technology include:
- Spray Drying
(e.g., chemicals/food products/pharmaceuticals)
- Polymer Extrusion/Fiber Spinning
- Emissions Treatment
(e.g., low pressure atomization of urea, diesel fuel)
- Combustion — Intermittent Diesel Fuel Injection
- Combustion — Continuous
(including heavy fuel atomization)
- Other Industrial Applications where improved atomization is desired
Potential Benefits:
- Improved fuel economy in combustion applications
- Reduced emissions in combustion applications
- Increased throughput of molten polymers or
other high-viscosity liquids
- Effective atomization of viscous liquids in spraying applications
- Improved drying efficiency in spraying/spray-drying applications
- Elimination or reduction in nozzle clogging
